Building a camp facility for children and adults with special needs.
Throughout the year we have events around the state: Car show, Boots and Bling, Bunco Tournament, Bingo Tournament, Golf Tournament, Tip the Hat Campaign, Book Sales. We’d love for you to participate in one of our events.

Mississippi's Toughest Kids Foundation is creating a place for children to explore new things, thrill over exciting adventures, and discover the great big wonderful outdoors. It will be a very special camp facility designed exclusively for children and adults who want to have fun but who are often limited because of serious illnesses, physical and mental challenges, and other special needs they face every day.
After ten years the vision for Mississippi's Toughest Kids Foundation is finally here. On May 11, 2018, our groundbreaking ceremony was held in celebration of Mrs. Mary Kitchens' dream to build a camp facility for children with special needs. Many people attended the ceremony. Guest speakers included Mayor Sally Garland, MTK Board Chairman, Dan Kitchens, and Major Elizabeth Emmons. Keynote speakers were Congressman Bennie Thompson and First Lady Deborah Bryant. Shelia Fowler blessed our hearts in song with "The National Anthem" and "To God Be The Glory".
Thank you to all who made this day possible through your continued prayers and support. If you missed the news report, please take a moment to watch the video.
Our mission is to build and maintain the first and only year-round, fully handicap accessible camp facility in Mississippi to be used by children and adults with serious illnesses, physical and mental challenges, and other special needs.
