Mississippi’s Toughest Kids Foundation has been established for the single purpose of building the only fully-accessible camp for children (and adults) with serious illnesses and physical, mental, and emotional challenges in Mississippi. This state-of-the-art, year-round facility will work in partnership with special needs groups to provide great camping experiences for the toughest kids in our state. |

Children with special needs face limitations daily. What if for one week they could come to a camp where they could do EVERYTHING! No limits. At our camp they will be able to swing from ropes, climb walls, ride horses, swim, canoe, fish, participate in crafts and music and drama, join in sports and archery and cookouts, and so much more. All campers will be able to travel everywhere, do everything, or sit quietly with a friend. Camping is all about fun, making friends, trying new things and being away from home in a safe, protected facility fully staffed with the doctors and nurses. It will actually be akin to a medical facility, but don’t tell the campers, they will never know it! |
